Holomorphic Embedding Load Flow Method in Three-Phase Distribution Networks with ZIP Loads
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Holomorphic Embedding Load flow Method (HELM) employs analytic continuation of complex functions to calculate the practical (high voltage) load solution and provides promising convergence guarantees. Although HELM has been applied various types power systems, literature not thoroughly investigated three-phase distribution networks with common types/connections. In this paper, we extend ZIP loads, while preserving its prominent promises. Specifically, introduce a formulation, which emphasizes on accurate modeling constant-current loads (and voltage dependence current injections) for both wye delta connections. We perform extensive numerical experiments standard test systems equipment/connection demonstrate accuracy efficacy proposed compared existing literature.

Fundamentals of the Holomorphic Embedding Load-Flow Method
The Holomorphic Embedding Load-Flow Method (HELM) was recently introduced as a novel technique to constructively solve the power-flow equations in power grids, based on advanced complex analysis. In this paper, the theoretical foundations of the method are established in detail. Starting from a fundamental projective invariance of the power-flow equations, it is shown how to devise holomorphici...
متن کاملThree-Phase Unbalanced Radial Distribution Load Flow Method
This paper deals with a new, efficient power flow method for unbalanced radial distribution systems based on improved backward/forward sweep (BFS) algorithm. This proposed method utilizes simple and flexible numbering scheme and takes full advantage of the radial structure of distribution systems. This method is tested on an 8-bus Three-phase unbalanced distribution system. The numerical test p...
متن کاملA Novel Method for Load Flow Analysis of Unbalanced Three-Phase Radial Distribution Networks
This paper presents a novel method for load flow analysis in radially operated 3-phase distribution networks without solving the well-known conventional load flow equations. The method can be applied for distribution systems in which the loads are unbalanced. As the size of matrix used is very small compared to those in conventional methods, the amount of memory used is very small, the speed is...
متن کاملSmart load shedding in distribution networks considering the importance of loads
One of the most important tasks of operators in distribution companies is to restoration after a fault in the network. In load restoration schemes, in addition to observing the load flow constraints, it is necessary to maintain the grid structure radially and, most importantly, observing the balance of consumption with the possibility of providing load due to the limitations of the backup feede...
